Cotton ball wreath

The Nester is having a

"You Made a Wreath Out of What?!" Linky Party.

She challenged me to think out of the box when I was deciding what to make mine out of.
I wanted something different and natural.   And, of course, cheap.  I actually had to go buy some cotton balls ($2) and the wreath form was 40% off at Hobby Lobby ($1.50).  Three dollars and fifty cents is an amount I can take my chances on.

What do you think?  Weird? Great?
Wait, don't tell me cuz I think I like it.

  2. This is one of the coolest wreaths I've ever seen! The brown twiggy things are the perfect touch--it totally looks like you created this while you were outside walking around your cotton plantation. I predict that Williams - Sonoma designers are going to be copycatting your original! Now, I'm off to explore the rest of your blog.

    2. We are having a snow day and will be using this idea. I'm going to have to cut "wreath" forms out of paper plates but its a busy work project for the kids so I don't think they'll mind. Great idea.

  12. WOW...I can't believe it's made a comeback after 50+ yrs! I just loved this one! My mother made these when I was very young...it lasted forrrrrever. She put it in tissue, then a bag and last a box to store. She changed the decorations on it from yr.2yr. too. Loved the red bows and ribbon she used best. I'll be doing one this year...yup-yup...58yrs later, I'm inspired again or 2nd childhood....lol ps...you can alternate colors...make in blue...add sparkle, lights, etc., but I prefer the plain white. Memories to wash dishes by as mum said...Thanks, mum!
